Spice up any celebration
with a Bikini Contest!

Hey, who says you can’t have a bikini contest right in your own backyard? So your parents are away, and you’ve got the house all to yourself. And you have a pool….can anyone smell house party??? Ha-ha, whatever the occasion you can get all your friends together for a good time.

So how’s this going to work?

Well it is fundamentally a house party or a hot tub party, and the bikini contest is a bonus to spice it up. So prepare as if you were to have a good old fashioned party. With the drinks, munchies, décor if necessary and don’t forget the water (hot tub or pool)!

First you should figure out if you want a girls only, guys only or unisex competition. Call up and email all your friends and let them know about the big party. Encourage everyone to put on their best swimsuits and bikinis. Tell them there’s a big prize rewarded to the winner and also for everyone that participates.

What’s the prize? It’s up to you…it can be a tiara, a home made trophy or anything you desire! Make sure everyone that participates leaves with something…

Most importantly, assign yourself or a friend to be the photographer for the day. Maybe one of your friends whose shy and doesn’t want to participate would be a good candidate. You’ll regret having no pictures after having such a blast.

What do I need?

  • nice sunny weather (check with the local weather forecast)
  • friends and spectators
  • optional numbered paper for the contestants
  • a panel of judges
  • prizes
  • a camera and a photographer
  • a designated stage or catwalk area (all you need is the space, a sun deck is a good idea)

Now what?

All your company’s here and the drinks are going, everyone’s feeling good. Let’s get the bikini contest started!

If you have fewer than 5 contestants, it’s probably a good idea to deem them all winners. Give them all prizes for their efforts. It would be almost pointless and demeaning to judge just a few people.

Have some friends sit down in front of the stage as judges. Get the ladies or men lined up and pose! Take a picture of everyone first. Then it’s optional to give the competitors numbers. With a bit of tape, they can stick the number on their stomachs or backs or wherever they prefer.

Get your guys or gals to strut their stuff! Have them walk down the catwalk or the stage with the photographer snapping pictures away.

It’s optional how professional the judging should be, a score sheet or an overall agreement will do. A bikini contest is not a Olympic event!

Then hand out prizes accordingly to everyone. Remember, no one should leave empty handed for participating. When the day's over, the memories will not be forgotten with tons of pictures. I told you they'd be worth it.

And lastly Have fun! Don’t be too serious about this…after all it’s a house party!
