Shaving is by far the most popular method of hair removal on the market, perhaps because it is the cheapest. Your local drug store sells a 10 pack of razors for less than 5 dollars. Most of us probably started with shaving before trying any of the other methods of hair removal.
Now the question is electric shaver or standard razor?
Always shave in the shower or bath after having your legs wet for 2-3 minutes. This makes it easier for a close shave with least irritation and minimal chances of cuts and knicks. Use shaving cream! It makes the shave and the results at least twice as good. Never use soap.
Depilatory lotions work by dissolving the hairs (you can actually see your hairs shriveling away after a few minutes). I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who has sensitive skin because the chemicals are quite harsh on the skin and has an incredibly strong odor. Also I wouldn't recommend using this lotion more than once a month because it would be too much for your skin to stand.
But the results are great, very smooth hairless skin. One of the problems I’ve personally had is that the time it takes for the hairs to completely dissolve so I can wash the lotion away is longer than indicated on the bottle. Sometimes a lot longer… my leg hairs aren’t particularly thicker or anything, but the longer it stays on my skin, the more irritating it becomes. Also when I check if the hairs are gone, I am instructed to wipe with a towel so I have to reapply the lotion all over again. Talk about annoying!
Similiar to a wax's consistency, except the main ingredient is sugar. The method is same as waxing. A few benefits is that sugaring tends to be better for sensitive skin, and you can make your own sugaring mixture at home. To see how, click below
Getting rid of hair forever is not easy. Usually the process is painful and pricey but the results last a lifetime.
