Your Kids Swimsuit

What is it?

kids.jpg
Swimsuits are fun and colorful for kids! Your kids swimsuit is a fitted garment that they can wear in and out of the pool. Swimsuit coverups are great for active children that like to run around after being in the water.

An incredible technology integrates kids swimsuits with fabric that offers high UVA and UVB protection. The sun has harmful effect on the skin, the eyes and even the immune system. With repeated long periods of exposure, consequently children have a greater risk of developing skin cancer even in their 20’s.

There are special UV protection swimsuits that are made of special fabric that can change colors and indicate whether there’s no sun exposure, a cloudy day, or a full sunny day. This is a good indicator for moms and dads to know which sunscreen to apply on their kids and how long they should be out for.

Unisuits

Unisuits are for both boys and girls. They're swimsuits that look like wet suits that don’t completely cover up the arms and legs. The arm’s sleeves reach up to the elbows, and the legs are like shorts reaching the mid thighs.

There are many colorful variations for kid’s swimwear, so let your kid choose which one he or she likes most. In the end, it will be beneficial for both of you.

One Piece Swimsuits for Girls

The one piece swimsuits offers great coverage for little girls, and you won’t have to worry about them losing their tops or bottoms. The styles can be fun for girls, they come with built in skirts and cute little ribbons.

Two piece Kids Swimsuits

Yes, she can look like mommy too! These two piece swimsuits are really cute. They come in Bikini, Tankini, Bandeau and Halter styles too. Who says girls can’t have fun. I recommend these suits to girls over age 5 because the coverage would be too minimal for young toddlers who need UVA and UVB protection. Also, one piece kids swimsuits are practical and safe for toddlers to wear a simple one piece Unisuit.

Your kids also have the option of wearing shorts, or board shorts! They are very popular kids swimsuits among the youngsters. But make sure the kids have an additional UV Surfer Shirt for their top.

Shopping

Shopping with the kids may be painful, but here are a few tips to remember next time you're in need of a kids swimsuit.

When looking for sizes, always get the next size up because children’s swimsuit sizes usually run small. And plus your kids will grow! But always make sure that they fit comfortably in the swimsuit, and not loose. Kids get crazy and dirty when they’re on the beach, it won’t be fun when they get a bunch of sand in their swimsuit.

Always look for swimsuits with UVA AND UVB protection. Though you and I enjoy sunbathing, it is dangerous for toddlers and kids to be out in prolonged sun exposure. So don’t forget the sunscreen!

Babies are especially sensitive to the sun, so make sure you always apply a sunscreen specially formulated for babies. And an SPF of at least 30 for kids! There are fun sunscreens that go on with color and then turn invisible so they know exactly where it was applied.

Don’t forget to apply sunscreen to the nose and the ears.

Depending on which country you’re from, sunscreens are required to have DIN numbers that guarantee the exact SPF offered is effective. Always check the expiry date, sunscreens do expire!

Ask your kids for their input. Children are often nosy and opinionated anyways, let them have a choice of colors or even styles of what they’re going to wear. Pick out a few kids swimsuits out for them, and let them choose what style they like. That way, both of you will leave happy.
