Mini bikinis are a new breed of racy and tantalizing bikinis that test the limits of minimal coverage and tiny strings. Combined together, the swimsuit alone doesn’t look like much other than a lot of strings and very little fabric.
Usually the two piece bottom is a g string or a thong. The purpose of this swimsuit is to cover mainly only the nipples and the private area down below. The rest is up to your imagination.
I’ve seen mini bikinis with clear straps so it looks like the model’s wearing floating pieces of fabric. And I’ve also seen bikinis that look about three times smaller than it should be…yes mini bikinis can be quite provocative. Tiny micro bikinis and barely visible bikinis are jaw dropping. It’s really an acquired taste for some women, and most likely adored by men.
None the less, skimpy sheer bikinis are ever so popular. Usually the mini bikini is not worn at beaches, rather it is worn for exhibition. You may have seen them before in Bikini Contests, by the Boxing ring, or at car shows. There are also people who claim to have the world’s smallest bikini. They look like small pieces of fabric taped onto private areas and fishing line for straps.
It takes a lot of guts to wear nothing but tiny bikini pieces on your body. And prepare to adjust your bikini like mad, and checking if your nipple covers are in place. Just kidding, they’re not called nipple covers, but they are nipple covers essentially…

Women with curvaceous bodies look best in skimpy bikinis. Or specifically I would recommend this bikini for anyone with an Hour Glass body type. If you’re not sure what body type you have, click the link at the bottom of the page.
This bikini simply does not offer the coverage or support for I’d say 98% of all women! (Including me) Ha-ha…so if you can pull one off, kudos to you.
I think the best way to purchase a mini bikini is through the internet. Simply because mini bikinis tailor to a younger crowd and many swimsuit stores do not carry them.
This bathing suit is considered more of an exotic item that’s not commonly available to the general public. Think of it as a really rare tropical fish that you’re looking for at the local aquarium. But maybe soon since they’re becoming trendier!
From shopping around, I can conclude that mini bikinis are quite affordable, and are easy to shop for. It’s almost identical to shopping for g string underwear. Remember that many of these swimsuits become sheer when wet or are sheer to begin with. So read the fabric’s mixture before buying. The tops do not come in bra sizes, only from XS to XL.
As for comfort, if you’re used to wearing g-strings and thongs, then yes they will be comfortable. And remember mini bikinis are supposed to fit tight, so the straps and strings will probably bug you after a few hours.
Tip: Switch to plan B when that happens…Plan B is your back up bikini if you are going to be in swimsuit mode for a longtime. It won’t be pretty when your skin starts to become red and itchy from your swimsuit digging into you.
